Costa Rica - Perla Negra
We tasted a number of naturals from Central American producers before settling on this exceptionally clean and fruity offering from Las Lajas. The name “Perla Negra” refers to both the exceptional quality of the coffee picked for this process, as well as the appearance of the patio-dried cherries as they are prepared for milling.
In the cup, expect a winey, fruit-forward coffee, with rich, chocolaty undertones and more depth than an African natural. It was one of our favorites last year and we're excited to have it back this season!
