Kenya - Muthuthuini
Variety: SL-28, SL-34
Elevation: 1700 - 1800 masl
This coffee comes from the Muthuthuini Factory or wet mill in the Nyeri region of Kenya. A ‘Factory’ is a wet mill where the coop members bring their coffee cherry for pulping, fermenting, washing, and drying. This coffee gets its name from the local Kikuyu word, Muthuthi, or palm tree, which are abundant in the area.
A mix of SL-28 and SL-34 varieties, and grown between 1,700 – 1,800 masl, this coffee is dynamic and light-bodied at the same time. Bold acidic notes of grapefruit appear upfront followed by light floral tea-like notes, and the clean, sweet finish rounds out an extremely pleasant coffee experience.
Look for notes of grapefruit, floral and butterscotch.
This coffee comes whole-bean in a 10oz package.
